CGLL Major All-Stars Rally Late to Defeat RCLL in 13-7 game as Nine-Run Fourth Inning Propels CGLL to Victory
The CGLL Major All Stars overcame an early deficit with a monster fourth inning, rallying for nine runs to defeat the RCLL Major All Stars 13–7 in a back-and-forth battle.
Early Lead Shifts as RCLL Strikes Back
After CGLL took a 1–0 lead in the top of the first, RCLL answered in the second with a 3-run outburst. J.Y. delivered a momentum-shifting 2-RBI triple, and R.A. followed with a single to bring him home, giving RCLL a 3–1 lead.
CGLL Explodes in the Fourth
The turning point came in the fourth, when CGLL strung together multiple hits, capitalized on RCLL’s defensive miscues, and stayed aggressive on the base paths. Nathan Landman’s bases-clearing triple highlighted the frame, along with key RBI hits from Jack Montgomery and Rhodes Walton, giving CGLL a commanding 10–4 lead.
Late Push by RCLL Not Enough
RCLL responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth and another in the fifth, trimming the deficit to 11–7. However, CGLL added two more runs in the top of the sixth, both scoring on throwing errors, to stretch the lead again.
Strong Pitching Closes the Door
Reliever Julian Johnson shut the door in the final innings for CGLL, recording several key strikeouts and allowing no runs in the sixth. CGLL’s defense remained steady under pressure, including a game-ending strikeout to seal the win.
