CGLL Majors Blank CLL 12u All-Stars in 8–0 Victory

Early Offensive Surge Sets the Tone
CGLL wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, plating three runs in the bottom of the first thanks to a leadoff triple by J.J. and a string of walks and wild pitches. The pressure continued in the second inning as CGLL tacked on four more runs without recording a hit until N.L. delivered an RBI single, extending the lead to 7–0.

CLL Offense Held Quiet
The 2025 CLL 12u All-Stars struggled to find a rhythm at the plate, managing just a few scattered hits and failing to advance a runner past third base. J.M. led the way with two solid singles, but the team’s offense was stifled by CGLL’s sharp pitching and timely defensive plays.

Pitching Shines for CGLL
CGLL’s starting pitcher, J.M., was in full command, striking out eight and allowing no runs over his outing. He was backed by a steady defense that turned key outs and limited CLL’s opportunities. Even as the game progressed, CGLL’s control and consistency on the mound kept their opponents off balance.

CLL Finds Relief in Z.E.
Despite the early scoring by CGLL, CLL reliever Z.E. came in to shut the door on further damage, recording several strikeouts and holding CGLL scoreless in the final innings. His effort provided a boost to the CLL defense and helped keep the game within reach.

CGLL Cruises to Victory
An insurance run in the third pushed CGLL’s lead to 8–0, and the team held firm from there. Clean fielding, smart baserunning, and shutdown pitching sealed the win as CLL was unable to mount a comeback in the final innings.
